Southern California Girl turned Texan; blessed to be a stay-at-home Mom; married to Great White Hunter; lucky Mom 24/7 to my sweet boy who's growing up way too fast (someone get me a tissue!); Lily the Lab is our constant source of fun and frustration (and possibly related to Marley), and Spike the Shipoo tries daily to live up to his name. Recently left the Texas Hill Country for a city Deep in The Heart and love it; blog because I love to write and secretly think someone out there is reading this stuff. My blog is dedicated to my wonderful Grandmother Mary, who instilled in a me a love for all things handmade, taught me how to make a house a home, and to love Up To The Moon.
Women. We really are pretty complex beings. To men, we must seem strange and incomprehensible. But really, would we have it any other way?

i have a 12 year old going into 7th grade and it has been a rocky summer for her. one minute you are on top of the world and the next you have no friends because someone has decided to say mean things behind your back and "steal" your friend which are pretty fickle in 7th grade anyway. but it makes you strong. i am praying that during this time she learns to rely on God for happiness and of course her wonderful family :) that comic really says it all, why are girls so mean to each other?
